Yuugiou GX
Yuugiou GX, or The Next Generation, is the new series set years after the original Yuugiou series ends. It still centers around the duel monsters game, but the storyline is set in Seto Kaiba's elite Duel Academy, where only the best duelists are accepted after passing a rigorous writing and dueling test.
The series revolves around the life of Yugi Mutou's unofficial successor, Yuki Judai - the boy with big dreams. He scored really bad on the writing test and was not expected to get into the academy. However, he surprised everyone by defeating the Professor, and thus, establishing his name across the academy.
Manjyome Jun
Manjyome Jun, also known as Thunder-san, is the duel king of the Obelisk Blue dorm, the most elite of the three dorms at Kaiba's Duel Academia. He is cocky, intelligent, and rich. Armed with a power deck, he is one of the best duelists around - and you bet he knows it. He even has his friends refer to him as Manjyome-san.
He comes from the powerful Manjyome Group, comprised of himself and his two older brothers Chousaku-niisan and Shouji-niisan. Their dream is to conquer the world one day by creating the Manjyome empire. Chousaku is at the top of the political world, and Shouji is at the top of the financial world, and they plan to have Jun conquer the card game world to complete their empire.
He was always at the top of his game, until Judai comes and hands him his first loss in his life. With losses against lower-ranked duelists like Judai from Osiris Red and Misawa from Ra Yellow, Manjyome loses his seat in the Obelisk Blue, and leaves the Academy.
He returns to Duel Academia as a representative of North School 3 months later to duel against Judai once more. In the time that he was gone, he became the duel king of North School. With a new gray outfit, he introduces himself as Manjyome Thunder.
After the duel, he asks if he could return to Duel Academia because he has some unfinished business, and they gladly welcome him back. However, Daitokuchi-sensei explains that since he was gone for 3 months, he must start over from Osiris Red - which he practically throws a tantrum at. He can't bring himself to wear the red uniform, and is able to wear the gray uniform.
Though he still has the ongoing rivalry with Judai, he has come to think of him - as well as Misawa, Sho, and Asuka - as his friends. They stand up for him unquestioningly, and always stick together - especially now that the Seven Stars are after them. Judai and Sho especially love to provoke Manjyome XD
